Carol Twombly Typography Exhibition

This is a concept for a museum exhibition that showcases the work of type designer Carol Twombly. Twombly worked as a type designer at Adobe Systems from 1988 through 1999. Some of her most famous typefaces are inspired by historic type designs from the past, including Adobe Caslon, Trajan, Charlemagne, and Lithos.

The project includes a promotional poster, ticket design, exhibition book, and invitation design. I took inspiration from Twombly’s original sketches for her typefaces and incorporated a grid pattern throughout the project. I used letters and symbols from Twombly’s typefaces to create the pattern on the back of the ticket.
