1234 Cake!: A Count-and-Bake-Book was included in the ‘Amazon Best Books of the Year 2021, Kids Books Age 0-2’ list

This was such a fun board book to work on! I created the rolling pin logo for the Little Bakers series and chose typefaces that I felt meshed well with the illustrator’s playful style. The first book in the series, 1234 Cake!: A Count-And-Bake Book, teaches kids counting and the ingredients that go into baking a cake. Since counting was the main focus of the book I made sure that the numbers stood out on each page in a large bold font. For the cake recipe design at the end of the story I repurposed art elements from the interior and used brightly colored shapes as holding devices for the text.
